Asset Open Space Audit

Morphum Environmental provided asset management services to Stonnington City Council, completing an audit of over 4,000 assets and several kilometres of paths, fences and retaining walls. The audit encompassed Stonnington City’s 113 parks, sports grounds and other open spaces.

The audit enabled Stonnington City Council to comply with its parks asset management plan, and provided a database for future renewal modelling of the assets.

The project also involved assisting Stonnington City Council with valuation of the assets based on condition and valuation costs.

Key deliverables:

• Audit of over 4,000 assets, and kilometres of paths, fences and retaining walls encompassed by 113 sites.

• Field assessment of attributes including material, condition, maintenance required, maintenance type and accompanied by photographs.

• In-field data capture uploaded directly to ArcGIS Collector tool, and made available to Stonnington City Council through ArcGIS Online.

• Asset valuation assistance based on asset condition and valuation cost.
