Daniel joined Morphum Environmental in March 2019 as a GIS Analyst, and has over five years’ experience working in both New Zealand and the United Kingdom. After graduating from the University of Canterbury with a Bachelor of Science (Endorsed in Environmental Science) and a Masters in GIS, he spent two years working in the UK in conservation and insurance (risk analytics).
Since returning to New Zealand, Daniel has worked with both local government and private consultancies and has experience in the transport, network infrastructure, conservation, and road safety fields. Daniel has worked on numerous large projects, and particularly enjoys the challenge of complex spatial analysis using Python.
Daniel works alongside Morphum’s field team to improve processes and work with new technologies for spatial data capture.
Daniel is also an accomplished academic and has authored several papers in Urban Health and GIS Methodologies.
Outside of work, Daniel makes the most of the great New Zealand outdoors and enjoys tramping, skiing and mountain biking.
